Gracie Belle absolutely LOVES bath time! She could literally be screaming her head off and the moment we put her in the tub, she is all smiles. We usually use this 4 Moms bathtub, but we received the duck tub from good ol’ Santa Clause 🙂 I like the 4 Moms tub because it has separate ares for clean and dirty water. It also has a built in thermometer that alerts you when the water is too hot or too cold. However I found that it does not work very well comfort wise for a bigger and older baby. Gracie is cramped and can’t really sit up and play in it now. The duck tub is a hit! She is able to sit up on her own in this tub easily. She kicks the whole time and doesn’t mind at all for water to hit her in the face. As a swim lesson instructor, I cannot express enough the importance of letting water splash your child’s face. Your child will not drown or get hurt when water runs over their eyes or mouth. By doing this consistently while they are young, it will help tremendously when it is time to learn to swim (you would not believe the amount of kids that are afraid to get water on their face). We deliberately pour water over her head multiple times during bath time. We have actually been using this same bottle of Honest Co. baby wash since Gracie was born. A little goes a long way. I love that it is made with lavender essential oil. We also use the Honest Co. ultra calming lotion at night as well. After Gracie gets out of the bath we usually use the boogie mist saline spray when needed and suction her nose. Everything seems to be looser when she is fresh out of the bath making it easier to suction. I love the wet brush for babies because it is so gentle on Gracie’s head. I found this Ideal Baby wash cloths and towels, and they are actually made by Aden & Anais. I would love to have the Aden & Anais brand, however Ideal Baby is more affordable. (UPDATE 2/6/17)- I purchased Aden & Anais towels and wash cloths and love them! the quality is definitely much better the Ideal Baby. We got ours at TJ Maxx. However if your budget just does not allow it, then Ideal baby would be my next choice. We only give Gracie a bath about every other day unless she actually gets dirty or sweaty for some reason. I try to give her baths right before bedtime, because I think it calms her down for the night and helps her sleep better. (Plus Daddy is home!) I made sure to link all of our favorite bath time products! We have used and love all of these. If you have any questions, leave those in the comments below!
